Have you always wondered how people win awards for their great work in business? Well, sometimes you have to begin the awards research yourself and spotlight yourself or others for the great work that you or others do.

Here are our top 10 Women in Business Awards you should be considering: 

1. Women of the Year Award 

Women of the Year is a fantastic award for Women in Business to consider, putting yourself at the forefront to shine the light on the work that you do. Women of the Year Award was founded in 1982 in the UK, and their mission was to raise money for a charity, The Winged Fellowship Trust. Since, they have been supporting various charities including Revitalise, Marie Curie and The Princes Trust: Women Supporting Women.

In this award you can not only spotlight other Women in Business but you can also apply for the award yourself. Applications close 4th of June 2021. 

2. Rising Star Award 

Now in their seventh year, the Rising Star Awards are the first to focus on the achievements of women below Senior Management or Director level – representing the female talent pipeline and the next generation of future leaders.

The awards also recognise the efforts of senior leaders who are championing gender equality, as well as putting the spotlight on a “company of the year” that is actively supporting its female talent pipeline above and beyond industry norms.

Over the past six years and with the support of leading organisations, WeAreTheCity has been able to highlight the achievements of over 650 women (550 in the UK, 100 in India) through the Rising Star Award’s process.

Nominations open: 11th of January. Nominations Close: 8th of March.

3. The Great British Entrepreneur Awards 

In 2012 The Great British Entrepreneur Awards was launched an awards programme to shine a light on Great British  entrepreneurs.

It’s now grown to so much more than that, and while they are the largest celebration of entrepreneurship via The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, they are also a community and ecosystem of some 50,000 entrepreneurs and their supporters.

Their aim is to create a platform that celebrates and championed the entrepreneurs behind brilliant businesses and gives them access to a community of like-minded people.

Deadline for this business awards is: June 4th 2021.

4. Women’s Business Club Awards 

The Women’s Business Club was founded by Angela De Souza who wanted to set up a business network that she would like to attend where she felt comfortable being herself and accepted as a woman in business. From the very first event in January 2013 to today, the club has stayed true to it’s calling to serve business women and supporting them in their growth and success whilst encouraging feminine leadership. Their award is called ‘Dare to Dream Awards’ and you can find more information about it here

4. Enterprising Women of the Year Award 

The Enterprising Women of the Year Awards is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners in the U.S. and globally. To win, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities.
