So many businesses lose patience in building awareness or want to see instant results from social media or marketing, without realising that marketing is a long game. When it comes to marketing, there is a decision-making process that takes place within your potential customer’s mind.
First, they become aware of you, they may become your follower and engage with your post because it caught their attention or resonated with them in some way. Then they may carry on following you and get to you know you and your business through the content you share. If you do your job properly, you would build the ‘Know, Like and Trust’ factor with your audience.

2. Give reasons for your audience to fall in love with you!
Attracting your audience is just the first part of your strategy. You also need to make them like or love you! Yes, people buy from people or brands they love, like and trust. So it is in your hands to build that connection with your audience, by serving them with the right content to achieve that.
3. Let them evaluate you
The next stage of the buying process is an evaluation process where your prospect is starting to connect with your posts and evaluate if they want to do business with you. At this stage, it is about building a more solid ground of trust, crushing objections and showing your product or service in the best light. Chances are that your prospect is also evaluating other similar products or services. The question is, why should they choose you?
4. Make an offer
It may sound obvious but many people forget to make an offer or post about our products or services on social media. On the other hand, if you think you can only share sales and offers and it will lead you to lots of sales, you are definitely wrong! Your content needs to be a mixture of different types of posts, not just a selling platform.
Audience online are becoming savvier when it comes to making purchase decisions, so it is not just about making an offer, it is also how you position your offer and how it is presented to your potential buyer.
